Spearheaded by Ms. Rachita Rathaur Gambheer, M.A. (Gold Medalist) in Classical Kathak, and a topper of Bhatkhande University, Thirkan is not only one of the best dance academy in mohali, it is a movement.
Along with her spouse, Mr. Sachin Gambheer, Rachita Ji started the journey of Thirkan with a single mission in mind - to make the rarest dance forms and advanced techniques accessible to every child.

Rachita is a highly accomplished and dedicated Kathak professional with over 25 years of teaching and performing experience. She is a proud disciple of the esteemed Guru Mrs. Ila Pandey Ji, who herself was a disciple of the legendary Padma Vibhushan Late Pt. Birju Maharaj Ji, the doyen of the Lucknow Gharana of Kathak.
Rachita holds a Master’s Degree (M.A.) in Classical Kathak, in which she was awarded the Gold Medal for academic and artistic excellence. She also topped Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, one of India’s most prestigious music and dance universities.
Swati is an accomplished Kathak artist with over 10 years of experience in classical dance. A devoted disciple of Guru Mrs. Ila Pandey Ji (disciple of the legendary Late Pt. Birju Maharaj Ji), she upholds the rich legacy of the Lucknow Gharana.
Known for her rare blend of practical excellence and deep theoretical knowledge, Swati has performed at various state and national platforms, showcasing her skill in both Kathak and Indian folk dances. She has also mentored students across all age groups in Kathak, choreography, and folk dance forms.
Anushree Ladia Bhargava is a trained Bharatanatyam artist who completed her Arangetram in 2009 under Dr. Sucharita Khanna with Nattuvangam by Smt. Chitra Chandrasekhar Dasharathi. She earned her Alankaar from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai, in 2016.
Inspired by her musically inclined family, Anushree is both a dedicated teacher and an active performer. She has showcased her art at prestigious platforms including India International Centre (Delhi), Shravan Mahotsav Mahakaleshwar (Ujjain), Anderson Theatre (Ohio), Hindi Lovers Club (Chicago), and the Community Centre of GSNY (New York).
